Kids

Here are a few pictures of the kids just hanging out this month. We got a few books for Joshua for his birthday and they just arrived (we ordered them after his birthday, in Feb.) We got "Pat the Cat" and "Tickle the Pig" They are very cute and Josh and Emily love them. They spent quite a while looking through them after we came home from the mail room.

Joshua also loves to "write" like his big sister does. He actually can get a few scribbles on the paper. He's learning fast!

Here is the first dress I ever made. Emily wa so excited to wear it she could hardly wait for me to finish sewing it.

More Rome

Here are a few more pictures of when we went to Rome.

Rome

We went to Rome for a few days while Will was on leave. What an experience it was. It seems that no matter what time of year it is, plenty of people find their way to see the "Eternal City." One of the most amazing things about Rome was to think about how old everything is. We didn't get to see the inside of the monuments, but they sure were beautiful to look at. One of our favorite was the Centro Meuseu, I don't know if I spelled that one right. . . . . The colloseum was amazing and it really is the main attraction, it is huge!

Austria

Will's trip to Germany in January was exciting to say the least. Here are some pictures of the hotel he stayed at in Austria after the accident. This is such a beautiful
place, we hope to find our way back some day for a little vacation.

Little Princess

Emily is such a precious little princess. She has so much fun with her pretend play. She is taking time to set up a little bed for some nap time. She also set up a tea party on the coffee table for all of her babies.

Drawing

Emily is working very hard at learning to coordinate her movements to draw meaninful shapes. She is really coming along. She puts a lot of concentration into her work and it pays off. She is doing great!

My Little Monkies

Emily & Joshua sure have a lot of energy. Climbing is Joshua's first priority. Since we've done a good job now of guarding the stairs - inside and out - he pushes things around the house to climb onto something new. At least he's creative!

More Birthday Pictures

We made a cute monkey face cake for Josh when Nana was here but I can't find the pictures for that now. So, on his acutal birthday, 1/11, Emily and I made snow men cupcakes. They were fun and tasty too. Since Daddy doesn't like frosting, we had a fire pit for our snow men to cozy up to while they waited until we ate them up - Yummy!

Happy Birthday Joshua!!!!

Joshua enjoyed opening his presents, but decided to drop them to the floor. He was surprised by the lack of noise when his t-shirt hit the floor :o)

December Pictures

Emily is coming a long way with her writing skills - we are so proud of her attention to detail and her attention span in general :o)

We celebrated Joshua's 1st birthday early with Nana on 12/31. He had a yummy spoonful of chocolate frosting and wanted to share with Nana.

Emily had a very fun time at the Clinic's Christmas party. She is waiting for Santa and is a little nervous. She is still very shy with people she doesn't know too well. She warmed up quickly though.
One of our best presents this Christmas was Randy Girl. Emily made it official on Christmas Eve by putting a red bow on her. We missed Randy so much - Thank you for all of your help Nana!
