Miscellaneous

We painted with potatoes

Once upon a potty - literally for us, Josh was fully potty trained before we left for DC in March. He has struggled ever since. At least we know he can do it, it is just a matter of time.
In February, we went to Asiago so the kids could see some snow, there wasn't much left.

The Party

Sweetie Pies - Emily was doing a fashion show of all the clothes she got for her birthday and this was too cute.
Lining up for the pinata

The guys were holding the pinata from the balcony - this event turned out to be the longest ever to break it open for the candy.
Present time!
Happy Birthday Emily!

Emily's 5th Birthday

What a fun time we had. Emily got to do almost what ever she wanted, most of the time she wanted to indulge in watching cartoons. She had an exciting day, opening presents throughout the day. . . and putting make up on Josh.

Slovenia

Will and some of his friends went to see a lake in Slovenia in April. Too bad spring wasn't in the air yet. He had a good time and got to see something new though.

March 2008

Here are some pictures of our time in DC in March for Josh's doctor visits. We had a good time. Best of all we got to see our family and some of our nation's rich history.

Josh loves his planes!
We FINALLY made it :)

Birthday Boy

Joshua turned two on Friday, January 11. Here is a picture of him getting ready to go to "school" on Thursday, 1/10 - such a big boy!

Where the party took place ~ We had a few people over to celebrate with us. It was a nice way to celebrate Joshua.

I tried to write on his cake, but the gel was a little runny :) That's ok, it still tasted yummy!

Emily was sure to help Josh with all his presents.

Happy birthday to you. . . ..

Thank you all for your warm birthday wishes, we had a fun day!

The De-Casting

Emily was let out of her cast yesterday, 10/22/07. She did such a good job. We had plenty of stress surrounding that day, but God came through as He promises and protected us and blessed us. It was a bit of a scary experience for her, but she was brave. Also, on the way home she had this to say, "So, this is how you climb a tree. First you find the holes for your feet, then you find the handles for your hands." Wow! Not even two hours out of her cast and she is planning her next climb. Since then, she is all talk, she's been very timid. She does not want to use her left arm, she is afraid she will hurt it. However, if she doesn't use it, she will be in another kind of situation - physical therapy. I am sure she will do just fine.

Here are some pictures from our experience:
Really, I did debate putting this one on, but this is "the saw" that she endured, such a big girl! After that, the nurse used scissors, which was much better according to Emily.

Fracture

Emily, such a brave girl, especially to say, "I'll try to climb the tree again."

Here is a picture of Emily's arm

This is the tree she fell out of. You can see she wasn't very high, but that didn't matter.
