Edelweiss Lodge

We stayed at an Army resort in Garmish, Germany last week. Here are some pictures of the beautiful resort. We stayed in a "rustic cabin." It was rustic all right! We had no running water
or bathrooms, but they were close by. Will treated us with a lot of BBQ, Joshy helped, until it got too smokey, then he cried. I had a lot of homework to do while we were there, Will too.

Paragliding

Well, to start off, we took around 300 pictures on our trip to Germany. We only went to a little ski village and ventured off to the Munich zoo one of the days.

Here are a few pictures of Will's adventure.

Little Stinker

Joshua has mastered climbing onto the coffee table with out any help. He has a lot of fun pouring rice from one container to another too, the mess isn't too bad either.

Our Garden

We are growing corn and watermelon in our yard. We are so excited to sink out teeth into that corn! We haven't had corn on the cob in over a year! The Italians grow corn all around us - literally. We see it in nearly every direction, however; it is all for feed :o(
Sooo, we are very happy that ours actually is growing, I'm not sure how it will taste, but we are ready to try.

Here is a picture of our first baby watermelon. The watermelon, and cantelope too, are very expensive, so we decided to grow some, and it's really taken over. Hopefully we will have a bountiful harvest of both.

So far we have five ears of corn growing, and a handful of melons, but the melons are just beginning, they are still flowering, which means we can have a whole bunch more!

Asiago

Will went on a hike with a buddy a few weeks ago to Asiago. The drive up there is brutal, literally climbing up a mountian in circles. Once out o

f the car, Will was happy.

Austria

Ok, here are the only pictures we have, from our friend's camera, of our amazing trip to Austria. We went to a little town just over the border from Italy and well into the mountians. We had a great time and plan to go back. Our pictures became corrupted at some point because we were not careful to make sure the camera was finished with it's process before turning it off, so we lost all of them. SOOOOO Sad! So, next time we take a trip, we are both going to carry a camera and be very careful!

Our friend will send us some more pictures soon, and we will share them with you when we have them.

Silver Lining

We had some beautiful clouds to look at, with a silver lining. Here are some misc. pictures of every day life here through May. The kids being goofy, Will bbq'ing. . . a lasagna for Brian :o)

Winery

We took a trip this May to our favorite winery, in Vo, Italy. We got lost on the way, so Will was a little grumpy as you can see. It was a beautiful drive and well worth it, the wine is so good and very in expensive, about $4/ bottle.

Joshua's Play Time

Joshua is having a great time with a piece of tinsel left over from Christmas. He is just fascinated by it and spent a good 20 minutes with it - Not too bad! He was in such a cheerful mood :o)

Emily's 4th Birthday

Ok, so I had a few more minutes

Emily woke up to a very princess like day. She was able to make almost all of her own choices for the day, with out much protest. She picked her outfits a few different times. One of the presents she got was her own laptop, princess version of course. She really enjoys it, she learns letters, words, math and more princess appropriate materials like dress up and matching shoes together. She had a wonderful day and even tells us now that we need have a house in Disneyland. . . I

wonder where she would have come up with an idea like that?
